What the work is

A putting green is a shaped base with a specific surface on it. The base is what makes it roll true, and it is contoured deliberately rather than laid flat.

The same heat note applies as to any synthetic surface. So does the drainage requirement: a green that ponds after a storm is a green that will not putt.

Heat and drainage

It is a synthetic surface in full sun, so the temperature guide below applies to it as much as to turf. And in a storm here, a flat impermeable area with nowhere for water to go moves that water somewhere else on your lot.
