Smart controller install

A weather-based controller installed and actually programmed, with the schedule written down so you can check it.

One flat fee to find out what is wrong. You are told it on the phone before anyone is dispatched, and it comes off the job if you hire us. Read our Plain Terms

What the work is

A smart controller adjusts run times to the weather instead of to a calendar. Installed and left on its defaults, it does very little. Programmed properly for your zones, your plants and your soil, it does a lot.

So the install includes the programming, walking the zones with you, and leaving you the schedule on paper as well as in an app.

We also set it to comply with your town's watering rules, which differ from one to the next.

What is included

  • The controller, installed and connected
  • Every zone identified, labelled and programmed
  • A schedule that complies with your town's watering rules
  • Walking the zones with you
  • The schedule written down and left with you

What is not

  • Electrical beyond an existing receptacle, which is our licensed electrical partner's work
  • Repairing valves or wiring found faulty when we test each zone. Shown and quoted
  • The subscription on any product that has one

Programmed to your town, not to a default

Every town here sets its own landscape rules and they are not the same. St. George, Washington City and Ivins each cap residential lawn differently, and Washington City's ceiling applies to every lot regardless of its size. Ivins bans lawn watering year-round and limits slope. Your town page has the figures with the section numbers next to them.

A controller set to a default schedule can put you outside your own city's ordinance. We set it to your town's rules and write down which rule we set it to.

What to ask anyone quoting this, us included

  • Did you program it, or just install it?
  • Which town's watering rule did you set it to?
  • Can I have the schedule on paper?
