Sewer spot repair

One bad section, located precisely and replaced through a single pit, instead of the whole run.

One flat fee to find out what is wrong. You are told it on the phone before anyone is dispatched, and it comes off the job if you hire us. Read our Plain Terms

Locating the defect, so the dig is one pit and not a trench. Southern California.

What the work is

When a camera and a locator find one defect, and the rest of the line is sound, a spot repair opens one pit at the defect and replaces that section. It is the cheapest correct answer to a sewer problem and the one most likely to be skipped in favour of selling a full replacement.

It is only correct when the rest of the pipe really is sound, which is a judgement made from the recording. We give you the recording so you can get a second opinion on that judgement.

What is included

  • Camera survey and precise locating, with the depth
  • One pit, excavated and backfilled
  • The replacement section and both connections
  • A camera run afterwards, and you keep both recordings

What is not

  • Any other defect found once the pipe is open. We will show you before we go further
  • Hardscape replacement where the pit has to go through it
  • Work on the city's side of the connection

Get the recording before you agree to a replacement

A full sewer replacement is one of the largest bills a house here can generate, and the guide below explains why it costs more in this county than elsewhere. That combination — expensive job, buried evidence — is exactly where a homeowner needs the footage in their own hands.

If someone has quoted you a full replacement, a camera run and a locate from someone else is cheap insurance.

What to ask anyone quoting this, us included

  • How much of this line is actually bad?
  • Where is the defect and how deep?
  • Can I see the footage of the sections you say are sound?
